Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that challenging now with the internet at your disposable. So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would look a little like this…

Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the group. As far as the marketer is concerned, there could be new things to update and information to keep track on.

The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate’s conversion rates.

That done, it is time to submit the affiliate’s program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These listings are a means to draw people in joining your chosen program. A sure way of marketing the affiliate course.

Now it’s to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates reasonably and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to hunt down. See if they are new clients checking the products out. Noting the connection information that could be a profitable source in the future.

There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and example recommendations to give out for the reason that the marketer knows that this is one method of ensuring more sales. It’s best to stay visible and accessible too.

It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and sale increase. Nothing like mentioning the persons, their sites and the course of action they have done that made everything work.

Of course, this will be available in the newsletters. Among the more important information that have been written already.

The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those who want credible sources for the products being promoted. There is also time to post some comments on how to be a successful affiliate marketer on a site where there are lots of wannabees.

Two objectives done at the same time. The marketer gets to promote the product as well as the program they are in. Who knows, someone may be apt to join.

Time flies. Missed lunch but is quite contented with the responsibilities done. Bed time….

Ok, so this may not be all completed in a day. But then, this gives you an sense of how an affiliate marketer, a dedicated one that is, spends the marketing day.

What technology tools do successful websites use? Remember that a website is a store front; it’s your customer service rep, delivery guy and your marketing department rolled up into one.

“We are open”

People don’t enter stores that have a closed sign at the door. (Well some do, but… you know, we talking about the law abiding kind here.) Nothing says ‘Closed” louder on a website than old content: old date references and postings. So one of the best things you can do is to get a script that keeps the current date front and center for your visitors. You don’t have to update it everyday – it does it all by itself.

Now that people think you are home, and open for business, they may inquire about your product. You must have a customer service desk. This can take the form of a form where they fill out their name and email. It can be to simply subscribe to your newsletter or they may have a specific question. If you want to have a ‘stress-free’ site, try post an FAQ section – Frequently Asked Questions. Then one of the important things you will want to have is an autoresponder.

An autoresponder will keep your site in the mind space of your potential clients who have signed up for your newsletter or requested more information. It will send out preformatted emails at defined intervals automatically. Did you know that after 5 emails, the likelihood of making a sale increases steadily? It may seem like you are being intrusive, but they will be able to unsubscribe if they wish.

Urgency Sells: When you offer limited time offers, you cause people to make decisions. You need a script that keeps a deadline up to date on your website. It would generate a line that looks like this: This offer expires on XX/XX/XX, so act quick!

All these types of scripts are available for free or for a small fee online. I suggest that in addition to these sites, that you visit lots of sites you would like to emulate and see what they do well, what strategies are particularly effective and find ways to incorporate them.

absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control

with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone’s
time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and
my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out
on my children’s lives and the incredible freedom that
succeeding in this business would provide for me. I found my
why. You MUST find yours.

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.

If you don’t believe that it’s POSSIBLE for you to make
money with affiliate programs or make your living on the
Internet, you won’t. It’s that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter
of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making
great money online. If they could do it, I could too. It
would just be a matter of figuring out what those people
were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people
(millions of them) are making money online with affiliate
programs. Just get online and do some research and you’ll
find countless testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE
making real money on the Internet. Or head to your local
bookstore and you’ll find the same documented evidence of
this fact. Truth is, it’s getting easier and easier to make
money online with affiliate programs.

I’ve always said that “affiliate marketing” is the job of
the future. In the “old” days, you had to go to a
potential employer, apply for the position and hope for the
best. Now you can simply go to any company you want, fill
out their affiliate application and start work immediately.
Affiliates are the new working class. Believe me, making
money with affiliate programs or making your living on the
Internet is WAY MORE than possible. It is pretty much (or

The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to
start an affiliate marketing business. You simply have to
start one. This is what I call “Making the Leap.”

The good news is that the cost of failure on the Internet is
very small. In the “brick and mortar” world you need to
evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up
a business. It’s almost always necessary to invest
thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the
ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a
